What Should I Wear To The Appointment?
Our practitioners can work around most clothing choices but we do recommend that you wear something loose and comfortable as this will make it easier for you to move around during the examination process. Our practitioners use muscle testing to assess you so it’s important to be able to freely move your arms and legs. You may be asked to change into an examination gown so for this reason we advise that you wear suitable underwear on your consultation. We do appreciate that you may have a certain amount of anxiety during your initial consultation so our practitioners will do their very best to explain what they are doing and why they are doing it in advance. Our sincerest wish is that you feel comfortable and at ease at all times so if you have any concerns please let the chiropractor know as soon as possible.
What Are The Finance/Insurance Options Available To Me?
PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE: Our chiropractors are recognised and registered with most major health insurance companies. Due to the complex nature of insurance policies and the multiple different policies in existence we are unable to deal directly with your insurance company. We therefore ask all patients to pay at the time of their appointment via cash, cheque or credit card. We will be able to give you the appropriate invoices which you will be able to use to claim back the cost. We do not currently accept BUPA. SpineCentral does have a contract with AXA PPP enabling us to deal directly with them for you. The treatment will not have to be paid for while you are in the clinic but you will need to bring along your policy number, authorisation code, the number of sessions that you have been authorised to have and if you have any excess to the session to enable us to do the claiming for you. Without this information, we have to return to our normal policy of asking the client to pay for the treatment and then claim the money back from AXA PPP. Please check your exact policy before attending your appointment as some insurance companies require a GP referral to be granted first.
METHODS OF PAYMENT: We accept cash, cheques and all forms of debit or credit payment with the exception of American Express.
What If I Cannot Make The Appointment?
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel or re-arrange any appointments, please give us 24hrs notice, as a cancellation charge may be applied.
RE-ARRANGING APPOINTMENTS: You may call or email us to re-arrange your appointment as long as the 24 hours’ notice period is observed you will not be charged.
Can I Bring Someone With Me?
BRING A CHAPERONE: Please feel free to bring a someone with you to your appointments. It can be very helpful to have your spouse there with you so that they can understand what is going on and help you through the process.
CHILDREN UNDER AGE 16: Children under the age of 16 years are required to have a parent or guardian to be present at the initial consultation and for all follow up sessions.
USE OF EMAIL: Email is used to provide important and useful information throughout your course of care to ensure that you get the most value out of your time with SpineCentral. We also use email to circulate our blog as well as sending out information regarding important changes to services. You can opt out at any time by pressing the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email. We will never sell, spam or rent your details, they are 100% secure.
We very much look forward to meeting you soon.
